SHOPPERS looking for a last-minute gift will now be able to pick up a revamped Thorntons box, following a full packaging refresh across the brand’s Classic Collection range.
Updates to the Classic Collection include the launch of three core pack sizes (150g, 262g and 449g) in new look boxes, which brand-owner Ferrero said were designed to “reflect the premium quality” of the products inside.
Viola Parassoni, shopper marketing controller at Ferrero, said that consumers view Christmas as a “time to splash out”. Thorntons new premium packaging should therefore sell well according to Parassoni, who said one in two people say they “don’t mind spending more for quality boxed chocolate.”
