Scots singer set to host Scottish Grocer Awards 2026

POPULAR entertainer Michelle McManus is returning to host the Scottish Grocer Awards 2026 – after she went down a storm with attendees at last year’s glittering ceremony.
McManus, the winner of Pop Idol in 2003, said: “I’m really looking forward to hosting the awards again. It was lovely to meet some of the wonderful retailers – and I was genuinely moved and impressed by their stories. I can’t wait to hear more tales this year.”
Having been a regular host on BBC Radio Scotland, Radio 4 and BBC 1 Scotland, her many TV programmes include the recent documentary Michelle McManus Sings For The Pope. The recipient of the Royal Television Society’s On Screen Personality for Scotland 2025 will be at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival with her new show Talk About Pop Music.
