Drinks firm SHS Drinks has strengthened its ‘Got a WKD Side?’ campaign for the rest of 2026 with a focus on Freshers and Halloween.

DRINKS firm SHS Drinks has reported a great deal of success for its ‘Got a WKD Side?’ campaign as the marketing moves into the Freshers and Halloween occasions.

The new £10million campaign has bolstered presence for the WKD brand throughout these the year and seeks to do the same throughout the Freshers and Halloween seasonal events by targeting its core audience group of young adults and students.

Launched earlier in the year to tie in with WKD’s 30th anniversary, the campaign brings the brand’s distinctive humour and cultural edge back to the forefront in a bid to refresh its relevance with 18 to 24 year olds.

So far this year, activity has connected with millions of consumers and helped to generate more than 50million impressions with core consumer groups, says Mediacom data.

SHS Drinks is now set to carry this momentum throughout the remainder of 2026 to help tie the WKD brand back in with some key cultural events.

Throughout September and October, SHS will maintain momentum for the WKD brand through some above-the-line marketing investments as it extends the reach of the ‘Got a WKD Side?’ campaign into the festive period.

This next phase will build on the current media strategy by keeping its presence across out-of-home, digital video, social media and influencer channels, while also introducing new Spotify advertising to connect with more than 3million consumers across the UK.

Scott Bell, marketing director at SHS Drinks, said: “The first phase of our ‘Got A WKD Side?’ campaign shows the strength of bringing WKD’s iconic personality back in a way that feels relevant for today’s consumers.

“The campaign is increasing consideration and purchase intent, strengthening demand for WKD and attracting a new generation of RTD drinkers.

“For retailers, that momentum, supported by our £10 million investment, creates a clear opportunity to drive sales through the important Freshers and Halloween trading periods.

“We’re building on that with increased activity designed to drive trial, visibility and purchase, helping our customers capitalise on these important occasions.”
