TINY sweet brand Tic Tac has had an apple flavour added to its range.
Brand owner Ferrero has launched the Apple Burst flavour, which will be available to impulse retailers this month and grocery retailers later in the year.
The launch comes hot on the heels of the strong performance of other flavours Cherry Passion and Strawberry Fields, says the company.
Ferrero says it will back the launch with £3.6m worth of media activity. TV commercials, and digital, outdoor and in-store advertising are all set to get underway.
The apple sweets are available in an 18g single pack with an RRP of 55p, and a 49g 100 pack with an RRP of £1.25.
Levi Boorer, customer development director, said: “This latest launch will tap into a huge consumer trend for fruit flavours in the pocket confectionery category.
“Our consumer research indicates that the new Apple Burst flavour will be just as popular as the incredibly successful Strawberry Fields.”
