Takis Zombie shuffles back into shelves for Halloween

AMERICAN snacks brand Takis has brought back its intense Zombie flavour in time for Halloween this year.
Providing a signature blend of Habanero Chilli, cucumber and lime, the limited edition variant taps into the strong consumer demand for intense flavours and the appetite for early Halloween activation.
Each pack offers a burst of intense heat followed by a crisp cucumber and refreshing lime finish, with a UK consumer research survey from Takis highlighting that there is a clear consumer demand for the variant. According to the research, seven in 10 said they would purchase them for TV or movie moments making them ideal for scary movies on the couch throughout the Halloween season.
The 2026 return has been fully backed with a seasonal activation campaign including horror movie night partnerships and themed creator content including sampling opportunities, social challenges and spooky displays to help maximise visibility.
Additionally, the variant will be supported through a range of PoS materials including seasonal bays, FSDUs, clip strips and header cards to help create standout moments across the convenience and grocery channels.
The Takis Zombie variant comes in pack formats of 55g £1.25 price marked, 100g and 180g pack formats with the latter two coming with RRPs of £2.49 and £3.49 respectively.
A spokesperson for the Takis brand said: “Halloween continues to grow as a seasonal event – it is now worth £779million driven primarily by Gen Z and millennial shoppers who account for 80% of engagement – and retailers now treat it like a major retail season with spend rising across decorations, costumes, pumpkins and food. Snacks remain a core category, with consumers increasingly seeking out bold flavours and party‑ready formats.”
