A whole new Sensation for the snacking category

SNACKS firm PepsiCo has brought a fresh energy to its Walkers Sensations range with the launch of two new textured variants to the popular Thai Sweet Chilli flavour.
Aiming to tap into the much-loved flavour variant, Walkers Sensations has introduced the new Thai Sweet Chilli Wavy Cut crisps and Thai Sweet Chilli Poppadoms to deliver a taste that consumers are already familiar with in a whole new texture.
In addition to these new snacks, the NPD also unveil a bold new look for the Sensations brand that combines the Walkers logo with new ingredient imagery and delivers a more modern take on the classic brand.
The refreshed packaging will begin rolling out with these new variants before it transitions across the whole of the Walkers Sensations range by the end of 2026.
PepsiCo reckons the new variants will be a bold performer for the Sensations range. This has been backed by a range of Nielsen data which found that the Walkers Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli range delivers two times more sales than all other sweet chilli snack flavours combined and has cemented itself as a leading sweet chilli crisp across the UK market.
The new Walkers Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli Wavy Cut and Poppadoms are available in the grocery channel now in pack sizes of 140g and 82.5g respectively. Both come with an RRP of £2.50. The Wavy Cut format will also be made available across Spar stores and selected discounters.
Wayne Newton, senior marketing director at PepsiCo, said: “We know that Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli has become a true icon of the premium sharing occasion. This meant that expanding it into our successful Poppadoms range, and introducing an all-new Wavy Cut variant, was the natural next step in building on this momentum.
“Combined with our bold new packaging design, these launches mark an exciting new chapter for Sensations. The result is a modern, premium look that delivers even greater shelf standout, bringing to life the food-inspired credentials at the heart of our Posh Slice of Joy proposition.”
