Walker’s Shortbread Advent Calendar returns for 2026

Counting down with Walker’s once again

Traditional shortbread brand Walker’s Shortbread is set to bring back its Advent Calendar for 2026, following three sell-out years for the product.

TRADITIONAL shortbread brand Walker’s Shortbread has brought back its Advent Calendar for the Christmas 2026 season following sell-out demand over the last three years.

The limited-edition Advent Calendar offers shoppers a piece of all-butter shortbread daily throughout advent, instead of the more common chocolate to provide an alternative for shoppers, making it a staple treat of the Christmas season for some consumers.

Walker’s reckons its Advent Calendar has now firmly established itself as a coveted festive ritual that can be paired up with a cup of tea in the morning, or with a warming hot chocolate in the evening to help build excitement as the season moves forward.

The year’s edition features a new illustration of Santa Claus on packs, dressed in the Walker’s tartan and about to deliver gifts down a chimney. Opening the calendar also reveals a new, heartwarming illustration of a cosy Christmas scene with a family celebrating together by the fire, sharing gifts and shortbread with one another.

Behind all 24 doors features a different shortbread treat including classic Shortbread Fingers, Hearts, Mini Chocolate Chip Shortbread and Salted Caramel Squares.

The Walker’s Shortbread Advent Calendar will be available from October with an RRP of £20 from selected retailers as well as from the firm’s website.

Bryony Walker, commercial director at Walker’s Shortbread, said: “We wanted to bring a fresh touch of festive magic to this year’s calendar with our updated design. It offers a truly special way to count down to Christmas Day.

“Sharing a piece of our 128-year-old family tradition is incredibly important to us, and we love knowing that our shortbread provides a daily moment of delight throughout December.”
