Yester Farm listings come after Scottish Favourites win

DAIRY products firm Yester Farm Dairies is set to expand its presence across Scotland with its new listing across Scotmid stores.
Following on from its win at the Scotmid Scottish Favourites competition, the dairy products firm will see two of its products roll out to the retail group’s stores across Scotland.
Simon McCreery, managing director and third-generation farmer at Yester Farm Dairies, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have won a Scottish Favourites place and to now be launching into Scotmid stores across Scotland. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us — and we’re excited to see more customers discovering our products.”
Scotmid customers will be able to purchase both Yester Farm’s Cottage Cheese and Soft Cheese products now at prices of £1.79 and £2.19 respectively. Both variants come in 300g tubs.
In particular, Scotmid reckons the addition of Yester Farm’s Cottage Cheese product will resonate strongly with its customers. The dairy product has been a staple of social media conversations for some time now as consumers continue to see the value in more natural products.
Additionally, cottage cheese remains high in protein and is a highly versatile ingredient adding further to its popularity with consumers.
Building further on this natural approach, Yester Farm also prides itself on strong traceability credentials with its journey from farm to shelf recorded every step of the way. In fact, the firm said that some of its products will be ready for store shelves just two days after milk is collected from its herd of over 350 cows.
Steve Addison, local sourcing manager at Scotmid, said: “Scottish Favourites is all about backing great local producers, and Yester Farm Dairies stood out for both quality and freshness.
“At a time when demand for high-protein is growing, it’s fantastic to be able to offer customers a locally produced option that’s made with care and reaches shelves quickly.
“Supporting businesses like Yester Farm is a key part of what we do – strengthening local supply chains while giving customers access to great Scottish produce.”
