Family pizzas ordered by the Dr.
FROZEN pizza brand Ristorante has kicked off a new large sharing format pizza range with the new Ristorante Grande range.
Seeking to appeal to families in need of quick but large meal solutions, the new Ristorante Grande range comes in two variants including Margherita Formaggi and Pepperoni.
Both are an oven-friendly rectangle shape in a bid to make cooking for a large gathering far more convenient for shoppers who need to cook multiple pizzas in the one oven as Dr. Oetker – the firm behind Ritsorante – said the pizzas can fit perfectly on a standard oven rack.
Available in Iceland stores now with an RRP of £4.50 per pizza, the new Grande range will roll out to Asda, Morrisons and Tesco from October.
The Margherita Formaggi comes topped with a delicious blend of mozzarella, edam, emmental and pecorino cheeses. Meanwhile the Pepperoni features a creamy mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top.
Dr. Oetker said the new range aims to drive overall pizza category growth across retail with a slightly higher price point for the larger format to encourage an increased spend from consumers, while still offering good value for money.
Laura Robinson, senior brand manager, said: “Catering for a large group with limited oven space can be challenging, with consumers often resorting to overlapping pizzas in the oven or cooking in batches to make everything fit.
“Consumers face this struggle when preparing multiple pizzas for family meals, so we wanted to introduce a product that would make mealtimes easier.
“The Grande Margherita Formaggi and Pepperoni pizzas are set to become staples in shoppers midweek meal planning, providing a convenient, quick to prepare and delicious pizza option for busy households.”
