PRODUCERS are urged to sign up to Scotland’s Deposit Return Scheme before its closing date.
Firms that fail to meet the deadline of 1 March might not be able to sell their product in Scotland after the scheme goes live.
Producers can register via scheme administrator Circularity Scotland or directly with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
Jo Zwitserlood, head of materials at SEPA, said: “We are here to help throughout this change and have lots of guidance available on the scheme, information on which drinks are part of it and help with creating operational plans.”
