THE UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) has announced a new date for its industry forum and dinner.
UKVIA’s event was postponed following the Queen’s passing last month.
The UKVIA event was scheduled to take place at the QEII Centre in London. However, the Department for Levelling Up, which owns the building, made the decision to postpone events.
Attendees have been contacted, the UKVIA said, and the venue has been provisionally booked for Friday, 18 November.
A spokesperson for the UKVIA said: “We apologise for the substantial inconvenience that the cancellation has caused to all those attending and we thank everyone for their understanding of the exceptional situation that we find ourselves in.
“We will ensure that the rescheduled event will provide a fitting opportunity to pay our last respects to the late Her Majesty the Queen.”
Over 300 delegates are expected to attend this year’s event. The theme for the forum is ‘Vaping for a Better Future’ and the UKVIA said it will focus on how vaping can “maximise its public health, economic and social impact” as well as how the industry “can gain a reputation for responsibility.”
