COCKTAILS feature in many summer garden parties and barbecues and retailers can take advantage of their popularity by suggesting recipes for summer cocktails and mixed drinks, reckons Susanne Wood off-trade sales director at drinks distributor Maxxium.
She suggests drinks that use the firm’s whiskies. “The Famous Grouse Mellow Gold, a smooth blend of sweet grain whisky and malts is perfect served over ice, topped with cloudy lemonade and a wedge of orange, to create a refreshing summer serve,” she said.
The firm also suggests Macallan Gold and Soda and The Ardmore Cooler, (two shots of The Ardmore Legacy, one shot of pear puree, two shots of pressed apple juice, one bar spoon of sugar syrup and a wedge of fresh lemon).
