CRAFT and specialist beers are currently increasing sales and gaining significant media coverage and some stores may well want to offer something special for Christmas.
Earlier this year Dunns Food and Drinks completed an agreement that saw it bring two established Belgian sour beers to Scotland.
The firm says Rodenbach Grand Cru and Rodenbach Caractere Rouge are highly regarded examples of the sour beer style has been “causing a clamour in craft beer circles”.
Rodenbach Caractère Rouge (ABV 7%) was given the perfect 100 score on ratebeer.com.
Rodenbach Grand Cru (ABV 6%) is a mixed fermentation beer matured in oak vats, giving a sweet-sour taste and intense bouquet with a very long aftertaste.
Heather Naismith, craft beer buyer at Dunns Food and Drinks, said:
“We are constantly looking to evolve our craft beer portfolio in order to keep it current.”
