BUSINESS agent Bruce & Co reckons there’s a distinct trend to developing and selling independent hybrid retail outlets that draw business from more than one traditional stream.
The company recently sold the Abbey View Café and Bookshop in the Borders town of Jedburgh after an offer at the asking price.
Bruce & Co’s Safa Sultan said: “We are noticing that more and more of the businesses that are selling are blurring lines between sectors. Convenience stores, for example, are doubling up as coffee shops or selling hot food over the counter.
