GIRVAN-based family butcher firm We Hae Meat has secured a contract with Asda to bring four of its products to its stores across Scotland.
We Hae Meat has launched its Oriental Salt and Pepper Chicken Stir Fry 400g, Garlic and Chilli Stir Fry 400g, Chip Shop Style Chicken Curry Stir Fry 400g and Aberdeen Angus Steak Slice 130g in Asda. stores as well as online now.
Commenting on the launch, Craig Chalmers (pictured), national account manager at We Hae Meat, said: “As farmers and butchers, we offer full farm to fork traceability and are proud to provide customers with only the best ingredients in our products – our stir fries and Aberdeen Angus Steak Slice are no exception.
“As our first ever retail customer, we are delighted Asda shoppers will be the first to get a taste of our new products.”
The Girvan farmer and butcher now has a total 12 products in Asda stores across Scotland with the extension of its deal.
This new agreement further builds on the butcher’s first agreement with the supermarket in 2008.
Asda’s regional buying manager for Scotland, Ashley Connolly, said: “Our relationship with We Hae Meat has gone from strength to strength over the years, and it’s been wonderful to see the company grow with us.
“We’re very proud to introduce four new lines to shelves across Scotland from a local supplier. We know our shoppers are going to love the new additions.”
