Retailers stand to win up to £25,000 in new promo

SNACKS firm Kellanova has kicked off an exciting new promotion exclusively for independent retailers offering store owners the chance to bag £25,000.
Running across the firm’s Pringles and Cheez-It brands, the promotion has been designed to tie in with the upcoming summer of football and the Fifa World Cup to ensure that retailers can also take part in the excitement of the tournament.
The promotion is set to run across June and July across large sharing formats for the two brands including the Pringles 165g PMP and Cheez-It 120g PMP as well as the smaller 70g PMP formats for both brands.
Retailers who purchase cases of the larger sharing pack formats will be entered into a competition to be in with the chance of winning £10,000 and those who also purchase the smaller format packs, bringing the total number of SKUs up to four, will be entered for the chance to win up to £25,000.
With shoppers set to gather together multiple times across the summer for the football, Kellanova reckons this promotion will be a timely opportunity for retailers throughout a key trading window.
The Pringles brand has a proven track record of performing well throughout football occasions, says Kellanova, having delivered £49.1million retail sales value during the most recent UEFA Euros tournament while also contributing 30% of total sharing category growth, says Nielsen data.
Adam Goonajee, activation brand manager at Kellanova, said: “Football is one of the biggest moments in the year for retailers to drive savoury snacking sales, and we want this promotion to feel genuinely worth backing.
“A £25,000 top prize is a serious incentive, particularly for independent retailers, and it reflects the scale of the opportunity we see across Pringles and Cheez-It this summer.
“By backing both brands across sharing and single-serve, retailers can give themselves the best chance of capturing the summer snacking opportunity – and winning a cash prize that could make a real difference to their business.”
