KP expands PMP range
KP Snacks has expanded its £1 PMP range, reviving a lost flavour in the process.
Nik Naks Scampi ‘n’ Lemon flavour is back, available to consumers in a single-pack for the first time in more than a decade. The Scampi variant was last available in multipacks in 2019 and hasn’t been available in a single-pack format since 2008.
Butterkist Crunchy Orange Chocolate Popcorn is the other new addition to KP Snacks’ £1 PMP range.
The addition of two new SKUs brings KP Snack’s £1 PMP portfolio to a total of 35 packs.
KP Snacks’ decision to add two new packs comes at a time of significant growth for the firm’s £1 PMP range. Nielsen MAT data to 18 June reveal that £1 PMPs in the crisps, snacks and nuts category are worth £221.8m annually and enjoyed value sales growth of 17.1%.
Matt Collins, trading director at KP Snacks, said: “As costs of everyday items continue to rise, consumers will be searching for great value products so PMPs will be an increasingly important format.
“We are delighted to be supporting our retail partners with a strong and growing £1 PMP range designed to excite shoppers and drive impulse purchases.
“We are also catering to shopper demand by bringing back Nik Naks Scampi ‘N’ Lemon as a £1 PMP.
“The return of this well-loved flavour after so many years without it will engage and ignite interest from shoppers, boosting sales for retailers.”
