SPAR has is looking to put some sparkle into this year’s festive proceedings through an expanded wine offer.
The symbol has introduced two new Italian sparkling wines in a bid to meet what it views as growing demand for bubbles.
New Spar Esprello Bianco and Spar Esprello Rosato are available now. The pair join Prosecco Valdobbiandene, Prosecco DOC Extra Dry, Perlezza Prosecco Brut Magnum, Perlezza Prosecco Brut Spumante, and Spar Marquis Belrive in the symbol’s sparkling wine range.
Spar senior brand manager Amrit Rebello reckons they could be just the ticket for retailers this Christmas.
“The Italian sparkling wines will RSP at £8 and complete our sparkling range of wine.
“Whether our customers are after Champagne or a different bottle of sparkling wine, there is something for everyone at a variety of price points.
“The sparkling wine market is valued at £722m and with own-label making up 35-43% of sales, there is a huge opportunity for retailers to bring in extra sales this Christmas,” said Rebello.
