Jet races ahead at Silverstone birthday bash
FUEL brand Jet made its presence known at Silverstone, the home of Formula 1 in the UK, as the circuit celebrated its 70th birthday.
Over 100,000 people were in attendance to celebrate seven decades of racing this summer, with Jet entertaining guests at its Jet Village Green.
Activities included traditional funfair rides, a Jet big wheel offering panoramic views of the circuit and an F1 Pitstop Challenge, as well as a full motion VR simulator for budding racers.
Jet was joined for the celebrations by race driver Nic Hamilton, brother of current Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. Nic Hamilton met with Jet customers in the brand’s hospitality area and signed autographs for visitors to the Jet Village Green.
Jet currently sponsors the Renault Clio Cup, in which Nic Hamilton competes, and the racer’s car was on display throughout the event.
There was no shortage of digital marketing for Jet around the event, with the brand’s marketing team boasting its Silverstone related posts reached over 125,000 social media users across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and over 113,000 engaging with Jet and Nic Hamilton throughout and since the event.
Mary Wolf, managing director UK marketing for Phillips 66, the firm behind Jet, said: “Once again, we saw a terrific turnout of car enthusiasts and their families who attend the event each year, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of the Jet brand.”
