Video marketing campaign takes viewers behind the scenes at wholesaler JW Filshill
FOR anyone who has ever wondered what keeps the wheels in motion at JW Filshill, the wholesaler has launched a video campaign which promises to show some of the inner workings.
The new ‘Leading The Way’ campaign will see Filshill release videos over the course of one year, shining a light on how the wholesaler engages with its staff, customers and suppliers.
Each video has a runtime of around three minutes, covering subjects such as how orders are picked, stock deliveries made, and promotions run, as well as looking at staff training and community involvement.
Filshill’s video campaign got underway in August with plans to release one video per week, each available to view on Filshill’s YouTube channel as well as at the firm’s website and via social media.
JW Filshill managing director Simon Hannah said “nothing is out of bounds” in the video campaign.
“The project is all about us showing our customers and suppliers that we are transparent about all aspects of our business, that we understand the complexities and vagaries of running a family business – a lot of our customers are family businesses, we have a lot in common and of course a shared deeper understanding of the impact and complementary aspects of running a family business.
“We want to open our doors to anyone who wants to find out more about us and what motivates us – and if our competitors look at our videos then we are very happy for them to do so.
“It’s an ambitious project for us but we are determined to get the message across that we are a growing independent company operating in an exciting sector that offers significant opportunities for growth.
“We want to encourage people to engage with us – staff, customers and suppliers.
“We also hope our video stories will encourage people to pursue a career in wholesale – as our videos will show over the coming months, there are roles in sales, buying, marketing, finance, warehousing, distribution, retail and business support, administration and logistics among others.”
