Golden Grouse

The Famous Grouse has added a new blend to its portfolio.

The Famous Grouse Mellow Gold has an abv of 40% and an RRP of £22.

Its launch is part of a redevelopment for the brand which includes a new label and bottle design for standard The Famous Grouse.

Marketing controller at Maxxium UK John Penman said: “Both initiatives are designed to capitalise on the growth in premium blended whisky.

“The plan also includes significant changes to The Black Grouse, which will be unveiled later this year.”

Master blender Gordon Motion who created the new expression added: “In Mellow Gold we’ve carefully selected a particular combination of casks to enhance our softer flavour.”
