THERE is an increasing demand for luxury Easter eggs for adults, according to Google Trends data, with the search term “Best Easter Eggs 2022” growing by more than 5000% and results showcasing eggs catering for an older audience.
And Lir Chocolates reckons its Baileys Chocolate products fits that sub-category perfectly.
To tap further into the market, the brand has launched its new 260g Baileys Chocolate Original Easter Egg, on sale at Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury’s stores with an £8 RRP. It includes a milk chocolate shell egg with a hint of the iconic flavour of Baileys Original Irish Cream liqueur and eight of the original Baileys Chocolate Truffles.
The new addition joins the existing range that includes Baileys Sundae Easter Egg, Baileys Luxe Mini Eggs, Baileys Strawberries & Cream Easter Egg and Baileys Salted Caramel Easter Egg.
Baileys Chocolate marketing manager Alison Robson said: “Easter remains a huge opportunity for retailers. We’re excited for Easter 2023 as we launch our new egg.”
