HEALTHY produce will step into the spotlight in over 100 McColl’s stores in Scotland as the group signs on to the Scottish Grocers Federation’s Healthy Living Programme.
As part of the Scottish Government-sponsored scheme, participating stores will receive free display stands and Healthy Living point of sale materials in the form of header boards, shelf stripping and other supporting material.
Colin Farquhar, regional manager for McColl’s, said: “We are keen to develop our fresh food credentials and provide a good selection of healthier products such as fruit and vegetables.
“The point of sale material and the display units available through the SGF Healthy Living Programme are ideal for creating an in-store focus on these products and encourage customers to make healthier choices when they shop at McColl’s.”
Ross Kerr, programme director for the Healthy Living scheme, said: “We are delighted to step up the work we do with McColl’s.”
