French inspirations from Kettle Chips this Christmas

PREMIUM snacks brand Kettle Chips is set to bring a premium touch to festive gatherings this season with its new Beef Bourguignon & Winter Herbs flavour.
Offering up a more gourmet taste experience in the snacks category, the new variant has been designed with author, TV presenter and Kettle chef Rachel Khoo to deliver a more indulgent option this Christmas.
The flavour recipe seeks to marry a slow-cooked Aberdeen Angus and Ribeye beef with earthy mushrooms, tomato and red wine to deliver an authentic flavour experience from the classic French dish. This is then served up with a delicate blend of winter herbs including thyme, rosemary, bay leaf and parsley.
Available in stores from the end of September, the flavour is fully compliant with HFSS regulations and has been made using all-natural flavours to help deliver a stand-out on the shelves throughout the festive season and help tap into impulse purchases with consumers.
The new-to-market variant will come in the 130g sharing bag format with an RRP of £2.65, with a suggested promotional price of £1.65, and will be available in Sainsbury’s stores from 23 September, Morrisons from 1 October and Co-op from 11 November. The flavour will stay on the shelves until the end of December.
The festive variant for Kettle Chips follows on from its most recent launch for the Kettle Krinkle range as well as the roll out of its new Tortilla Chips range.
Speaking on the new launch, Khoo said: “Paris is where my love of French cooking really began, and it taught me that some of the most memorable food comes from simple, real ingredients, cooked with care and shared with the people you love.
“Beef Bourguignon has always been one of those wonderfully comforting dishes for me, so I loved the idea of taking those rich, classic flavours and giving them a festive, alpine twist with Kettle Chips. It’s a little taste of French winter magic in every Krunch.”
