SPAR Maryhill in Glasgow is now home to what was previously St George’s Cross Post Office.
Store owner Iqbal Sadiq and Spar wholesaler CJ Lang reckon the re-siting of the post office counter will raise customer numbers by 25%. And they say the move means the community can be assured that its post office service is secure.
Sadiq said: “Feedback from customers has been positive, many are impressed with the open-plan layout.
“Since re-opening, the store has been busy and we certainly see this benefiting the business.”
