Saputo Dairy UK has relaunched its £2.59 PMPs across Cathedral City 200g packs across the convenience channel, offering better value on the shelf.

DAIRY products firm Saputo Dairy UK has relaunched its Cathedral City price-marked packs for the convenience channel.

Aiming to catch some extra sales from those consumers who are seeking better value on the shelves, the returning 200g PMP packs come in both the Our Mature Cheddar and Our Extra Mature Cheddar variants, with an on-pack price of £2.59.

The re-launch follows on from new market research from IRI that said 78% of consumers are now “very value-led” in their purchases, with 66% of consumers actively seeking ways to extract more value from or reduce the cost of their weekly shop.

Saputo said the relaunched PMPs offers an affordable yet premium option for consumers across the convenience channel, ensuring customers do not have to compromise on quality or taste.

Abi Armson, senior brand manager at Cathedral City, said: “We understand the importance of affordability, especially in today’s economic climate, and are dedicated to supporting both retailers and consumers by offering products that meet their needs.

“PMPs are important for both shoppers and retailers, which is why we have decided to bring them back. This reaffirms our commitment to providing value for money without sacrificing the premium quality that Cathedral City is known for.

“Cathedral City cheese is purchased by nearly half (43%) of UK households, reflecting its popularity and trust among consumers.

“With the addition of our price-marked packs, we communicate value for money effectively within the convenience channel, ensuring transparency and confidence in purchasing decisions.”
