Retailers winning is a Lottery result
RETAILERS across the UK have been awarded massive cash prizes as part of Allwyn’s Site, Stock, Sell online quarterly draws.
22 deserving National Lottery operators have each picked up cash prizes, with top prizes of £10,000 given out to two of the retailers. The remaining 20 bagged £1,000 each.
Ravindrasinh Bhatti, owner of The Corner Shop in Hythe, took home one of the huge £10k top prizes. He said: “I’ve been a National Lottery retailer for 16 years now and I’m extremely happy to have won after so long. I was also celebrating my 60th birthday at the time, so this is a fantastic present.”
All 22 independent retailers were entered into the quarterly prize draw after they achieved high scores out of 10 for Allwyn’s Site, Stock, Sell in-store standards programme.
The programme assess a store’s National Lottery POS materials – such as the Playstation, Scratchcard dispenser and singage – for their “sales-driving ability”. All independent retailers need do is upload images of the POS items to the National Lottery Retailer Hub each month to receive a score out of 10, and be in with the chance of winning in the quarterly draw.
