Talonmore secures major Scottish Edge prize

Non-alcoholic spirit brand picks up major award

Scottish non-alcoholic spirit brand Talonmore has picked up a major win at the Scottish Edge awards, securing funding of £80,000 as well as the RBS Scale Award.

EDINBURGH-based drinks brand Talonmore Non Alcoholic Spirit has picked up a major accolade at the Scottish Edge awards, securing a massive £80,000 in funding.

Marking the only beverage brand to succeed in this year’s competition, Talonmore picked up the RBS Scale Edge award – which comes with RBS support, direct entry into the bank’s Entrepreneur Accelerator and access to Business Hubs across the UK – at the Scottish Edge awards.

Delivered twice per year, the Scottish Edge awards recognise those businesses and entrepreneurs across Scotland that support innovative ideas that have a high-growth potential and award funding towards them. The competition has, so far, supported 569 early-stage Scottish businesses with over £25million in funding awarded.

Along with this, the firm has also announced some major wholesale listing across the on-trade including with major Scottish drinks wholesaler Inverarity Morton as well as listings secured across the Montpelier Group, seeing the non-alcoholic spirit in city-centre bars such as Edinburgh’s Tigerlily, Indigo Yard and Rabble.

Lewis Kennedy, managing director at Talonmore Drinks Company, said: “To be recognised by Scottish Edge is an absolute milestone for Talonmore. We had many goals and dreams when we started our brand, and winning pitches like this is very high on that list.

“There are some really exciting and innovative businesses across Scotland right now. We’re just so happy to be recognised as one of them at this stage in our journey.

“We’re bursting with ideas at Talonmore and we have a lot in the pipeline to shout about. This funding will help make that possible.

“We are so excited to show the world what is next for Talonmore.”
