GLASGOW-based JW Filshill continues to reach new heights – as the food and drink wholesaler posted its latest financial year results.
Figures for the year to 31 January 2022 revealed Filshill’s total turnover reached £200 million, up by 4.4% from 2021’s number, which sat at
£191 million.
The wholesaler also recorded a gross profit of £17 million for the 12-month period.
These promising results for the Glasgow wholesaler come shortly after the firm acquired independent wholesaler Iain Hill Ltd in August this year, as Filshill begins to ramp up its investments ahead of its move to a new 120,400 sq ft distribution centre at Westway Park in early 2023.
Simon Hannah, chief executive officer at JW Filshill, said: “The long-term success of the company is central to everything we do.
“We invest in long-term return projects to protect future revenue streams, and this includes constantly updating our technology, equipment and vehicle fleet – an approach that has resulted in greater efficiencies and customer satisfaction.”
