UK consumers are getting increasingly adventurous in their Turkish Delight selections, according to confectionery brand Hazer Baba.
Sahin Elmas, owner of Hazer Baba, said firms like his have been honing their recipes “for literally hundreds of years,” providing contemporary consumers with the kind of “authenticity” they seek from a sweet treat.
“Of course, we continue to evolve our flavours and manufacturing techniques to constantly progress, always staying true to the original product.
“While our traditional Rose and Lemon Turkish Delight are proving to be a clear UK favourite, unique flavour combinations like our Pistachio, Pomegranate Turkish Delight are certainly growing in popularity.”
Hazer Baba’s range of Turkish Delight flavours includes: Rose, Lemon, Mint Turkish Delight; Pistachio, Almond, Hazelnut Turkish Delight; and Pistachio, Pomegranate Turkish Delight.
The firm’s roots can be traced back to 1888; today the company exports to more than 40 countries. In the UK, Hazer Baba is available exclusively through distributor Cotswold Fayre.
