BAKED goods brand Mr Kipling has unveiled a new limited edition cake ideal for the Easter season with its new Simnel Slices pack.

BAKED treats brand Mr Kipling has launched a new limited edition cake variant in time for Easter with the new Simnel Slices.

With an aim to expand the season beyond the traditional chocolate treats, Mr Kipling has brought a fruit-packed cake to the table for this Easter based on the classic seasonal simnel cake.

Each slice contains a fluffy sponge that has been packed with dried fruit and sandwiched with a moist marzipan filling and topped with soft marzipan flavour icing as well.

Mr Kipling Simnel Slices will be available for a limited time with an MRSP of £2 and makes up part of Premier Foods‘ wider Easter activity with returning favourites across both Mr Kipling and the Cadbury Cakes brands.

Naomi Shooman, global marketing director for sweet treats at Premier Foods, said: “Mr Kipling is renowned for its iconic seasonal products, and Easter remains highly important for attracting and driving penetration of newer, lighter buyers. Mr Kipling brought in the most new shoppers of any Easter cake range in 2024.

“With this latest launch we hope to drive even more footfall into the aisle this Easter, engaging shoppers with seasonally relevant and fun flavour twists to enjoy across the season, helping retailers make the most of the opportunity on offer.”
