Vault City toasts Tesco listing for Gingerbread Latte Stout

Stout addition to supermarket’s shelves

SCOTTISH sour beer innovator Vault City has marked its first-ever supermarket listing for one of its stout products as its Gingerbread Latte Imperial Stout rolls to Tesco stores.

The Edinburgh-based independent brewer has expanded its reach once again with the new listing across the supermarket, which already stocks other brews from its range such as the Vault City Passion Fruit Lemon Sorbet or Vault City Iron Brew.

The Vault City Gingerbread Latte Imperial Stout features a blend of flavours with chocolate malt, oats and creamy vanilla with additions of brown sugar for sweetness and subtle coffee notes.

The resulting 330ml can has an ABV of 11% and is priced at £5.50 per can.

Steven Smith-Hay, co-founder of Vault City, said: “These supermarket listings are yet another major milestone for us as we seek to reach as many people as possible with our beers in a wide range of mind-blowing seasonal flavour combinations.

“Our Gingerbread Latte Imperial Stout has proved highly popular since it was launched. It tastes really festive, with the lightness of the vanilla, spiciness of the ginger, and the sweetness of the brown sugar balancing well with the rich and deep flavour of the stout. We firmly believe it stands out among more established rivals.

“We’re looking at other inventive ways we could expand our range in the stout sector – as well as gain further traction in the supermarket sector overall as demand for sour beers also continues to gain momentum.”
