IRISH chocolatiers Lir Chocolates has expanded on its range of Baileys Chocolates in time for Christmas with two new Nut Mixes.

Coming in response to a growing consumer trend for small, indulgent treats, Lir has launched its new Baileys Caramelised Nut Mix and Baileys Chocolate Peanut & Cashews in time for Christmas.

While both packs will be available on the shelf long before Santa sets off, Lir has also said the new additions will be part of its core range beyond the festive season.

The Baileys Caramelised Nut Mix features a blend of roasted almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts and cashews that have been coated in a caramel glaze with a hint of Baileys.

Meanwhile, the Baileys Chocolate Peanut & Cashews combines roasted peanuts and cashews that have been enveloped in creamy milk chocolate that has Bailey’s iconic Irish cream flavours infused.

Lir said that the new products are ideal for the confectionery market and tap into the growing demand for premium snacks that mix both flavours and textures.

Both variants aim are ideal for sharing or as a selt-treat occasion, says Lir, and are available from Tesco stores now with an RRP of £3 per pack.

Alison Robson, marketing manager for Baileys Chocolates, said: “We are delighted to add the Baileys Chocolate Nut Mixes to the growing range of Baileys Chocolate products.

“These new nut mixes allow us to offer consumers more ways to enjoy the much-loved flavour of Baileys Chocolates whilst exploring new treat occasions for the brand.

“In anticipation of Christmas, we are excited to provide our customers with more ways to share Baileys Chocolate treats amongst their friends and family.”
