ALDI remains on a keen recruitment drive for the year ahead, with close to 7000 positions available across its retail sites, distribution centres and apprenticeships.
The discounter aims to keep expanding throughout 2023, with plans to expand across the UK.
Aldia also said it would be recruiting for 450 jobs across its 11 regional distribution centres across the UK as well.
Giles Hurley, chief executive officer at Aldi, said: “Demand for Aldi has never been higher as more and more people realise they can make significant savings on every shop without compromising on quality.
“It’s more important than ever that we are making it even easier for more people to shop with us – including by opening dozens of new stores.
“Our success is dependent on the amazing work that colleagues do, day in and day out, and we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands more colleagues to Team Aldi throughout 2023.”
In addition to the new store and distribution positions, Aldi looks to take on 500 new apprentices in the UK this year, marking its biggest ever such intake.
Opportunities will be found across the entire workforce in stores, logistics and buying, as well as HGV drivers.
Lisa Murphy, learning & development director at Aldi UK, said: “We have found so many hard-working and ambitious people through our apprenticeship scheme over the years – and I don’t doubt it will be the same again this year.”
