PREMIUM vodka brand Russian Standard has secured an exclusive pouring tender with global carrier Emirates Airline.
Under the new five year contract, Russian Standard Original Vodka will be the pouring vodka for Economy Class customers flying Emirates, including on the airline’s Scottish services to and from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
Russian Standard’s premium brand Imperia will be the pouring vodka for First Class travellers flying with Emirates.
In a bid to further leverage the deal, Russian Standard is supporting its Emirates exclusivity with the launch of an integrated marketing campaign, as well as a special training video for Emirates cabin crew members, currently being developed by the vodka brand.
Elina Fruin, managing director for Global Travel at Russian Standard parent firm Roust said: “Winning this tender is very important to us as it marks a major expansion of our presence with one of the largest airlines in the world.
“In securing this important win we faced strong competition from global industry players. I believe the key feature of our success is the strength of the brand in travel retail globally and in the local market of United Arab Emirates and valuable insight and support from our partners.”
