FINES for major supermarkets judged to have misused their power against suppliers have moved closer. Measures to grant the Groceries Code Adjudicator the power to fine multiples who breach the code were laid in the Westminster Parliament last month. The adjudicator will be able to impose penalties of up to 1% of annual UK turnover.
