JUST what is the youth of today up to? Apparently many of them are drinking tea … more often than not while they are having breakfast.
Unilever, which owns the UK market-leading tea brand PG Tips, says Kantar research findings have shown that children under 10 and men aged 25-34 are all drinking more tea.
The same research also shows that the increase in tea consumption by those under-10s is largely at breakfast.
The same figures show that breakfast is the biggest occasion for the drinking of tea, with 37% of tea drinking done in the morning compared to 19% at snack times, 16% at lunch and 14% at teatime.
