Highland distillery highlights its cask management skills

HIGHLAND whisky distillery Tomatin has showcased a dedication to its cask management expertise with the brand’s bold new packaging refresh across its core range.
The new design highlights the craft, care and talent that goes into every cask of the whisky, placing Tomatin’s first-class wood policy centre stage.
As one of the few Scotch whisky distilleries to have its own on-site cooperage, Tomatin has paid homage to this legacy whilst also bringing the brand’s visual identity to a new era.
At the heart of the redesign are the premium outer boxes which feature a distinct golden wood-grain motif, symbolising the natural tree rings found in oak and reflecting the distillery’s commitment to wood and knowing the history of each cask which passes throgh its warehouses.
Each expression is also distinguished by its use of vibrant colours across the packs including dark indigo, forest green and scarlet red to a rich purple and teal blue.

The new packaging also introduces new label designs across the bottles to further enhance visual impact and shelf presence across off-trade locations.
The bold new look has rolled out globally across Tomatin Legacy and Tomatin 12 Year Old Triple Cask, which has now been renamed from Tomatin 12 Year Old. The remainder of the core range will follow suit in the coming months, Tomatin has said.
This new look marks an important next step in the Highland distiller’s long-term plan to strengthen its presence across the global market and highlight the craftsmanship that goes into the Tomatin brand.
It also follows on from the double launch in 2025 from Tomatin when the whisky brand introduced its new Tomatin Double Cask and Tomatin 10 Year Old expressions.
Jennifer Masson, head of marketing at Tomatin, said: “This bold new packaging reflects what we do best at Tomatin – exceptional cask management, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
“It aligns our visual identity with consumer expectations in modern retail and on-trade settings and gives our whiskies greater presence in global markets. Our focus remains unchanged – creating remarkable single malts at excellent value for whisky lovers around the world.”
