Sweet and sour expansion to Nitro cocktails range

CANNED cocktails brand Funkin Cocktails has expanded on its nitro drinks range with the new Sour Apple Martini serve.
Aiming to cater further to the brand’s core Gen Z audience, the new Sour Apple Martini showcases some eye-catching colours across its can with bold fruit flavours found in side and brings a fresh twist on a popular flavour.
Available in a 200ml can with an ABV of 5%, the Sour Apple Martini comes with an RRP of £2.25 and can be found across Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons stores as well as wholesalers including Bestway, Booker and Parfetts.

The Funkin Cocktails Apple Sour Martini blends together a fresh apple flavour with nitrogen to offer a smooth, velvety texture and a perfect our that will be ideal for the upcoming summer months.
Further to this, Funkin reckons this NPD will be a popular choice with consumers this season with CGA Mixed Drinks sales data highlighting that half of all cocktail serves purchased contain vodka and that the martini format in particular continues to dominate the scene making up a fifth of all cocktails served.
Ashley Birch-Ruffell, head of brand at Funkin Cocktails, said: “Funkin is always creating new trend-flavours that lead the way and tap into the taste of today’s drinkers.
“Consumers are looking for bold, innovative flavours – and that’s exactly what our new Apple Sour Martini delivers.
“With the apple flavour soaring in popularity, perhaps thanks to last year’s Brat summer (a reference to pop star Charli XCX’s song Apple on her 2024 album Brat) we saw the perfect opportunity to introduce a fresh, exciting cocktail, that we know Gen Z drinkers will love – just in time to welcome spring and the warmer weather.”
