Jacob’s introduces a Special range for Mini Cheddars

Limited edition flavours to roll out across grocery

Snacks brand Jacob’s has added to limited edition variants to its range of Mini Cheddars with the new Cheesy Specials range of crackers.

GLOBAL snacking firm Pladis has added two limited edition variants to its Jacob’s Mini Cheddar brand with the new Cheesy Specials range.

Set to hit Sainsbury’s shelves from 3 February, the Cheesy Specials variants include Jacob’s Cheese & Red Onion Mini Cheddars and Jacob’s Cream Cheese, Garlic & Herb Mini Cheddars.

Both flavours will be available from the supermarket’s stores from 3 February in multipacks of six 23g bags with an RRP of £1.89. This launch will be swiftly followed up by a 90g PMP option for independent retailers, with an on-pack price of £1.25.

The range will also be rolling out more widely across grocery, convenience and wholesale channels from March.

The launch comes at an ideal time for the Jacob’s brand as well, as Pladis is set to kick off a new on-pack offer across its multipacks and 45g grab bag formats.

Dubbed the ‘Find A Wedge to Win A Wedge’ competition is set to run from mid-February into March and offer consumers the chance to win one of 10 prices of £10,000 each if they find a triangular Mini Cheddar in their pack.

Alongside the consumers competition, there is also an exclusive B2B Win A Wedge campaign which is currently live in the wholesale channel and will conclude in March. Retailers can win a share of up to £350,000 when they buy and scan the multipacks which also feature the consumer Find A Wedge to Win A Wedge competition.

“Like the core range, these additions are baked with real cheese and full of flavour. The latest launches are available in two distinct formats to drive penetration within a whole host of occasions.

“The classic multipack of six, as well as single-serve convenience channel PMP to help independent retailers boost volumes, mean shoppers can enjoy exciting new cheesy varieties on-the-go, in their lunchbox, or while snacking at home.”
