A COUPLE of Highland retailers have highlighted the benefits of working with Scottish convenience buying group PGMA.

John Upton and Clare Redfern run the Poolewe Village Store and Post Office in Wester Ross.

They said: “We rely on PGMA for well over 50% of our supplies, which makes them a vital part of our business.

“The PGMA systems are straightforward, their back-up and service is excellent, their retail experience and knowledge is readily accessible and their finger on Scotland’s pulse keeps us aware of trends that may affect our business.”

PGMA claims its members have access to a wide range of Co-op own-label and branded products, ensuring retailers can stock popular items at keen prices.

And the option to adopt the well-known Mace brand is a way to attract new customers, says the group.

Other benefits include user-friendly online ordering and efficient delivery services to save retailers time and effort.

PGMA also offers a rewarding rebate scheme, “buy now, pay later” options,  knowledge sharing and collective bargaining.

John and Clare added: “It is with pleasure and confidence that we deal with an organisation that adds considerable value to what they provide. We say ‘Thank You’ – it’s great dealing with you.”
