CONSUMER trends can see the soft drinks market shift massively – and in a short amount of time.

Trends that continue to dominate in the category includes sustainability, innovation with flavours and moves toward premium as well as more healthy options.

And premium drinks firm Franklin & Sons reckons it can offer all this and more with its range of premium-end soft drinks options, helping retailers to open up the market further with consumers.

Lauren Edwards, brand manager at Franklin & Sons, said: “In the ever-evolving landscape of soft drinks, the market has shown robust growth, particularly in emerging categories such as functional benefit drinks and premium brands.

“The premium flavoured carbonates category, in particular, has demonstrated significant growth – currently valued at £885.3m, indicating a clear trend towards higher-quality offerings in off-trade consumption.

“Brands like Franklin & Sons continue to drive forward with innovative flavour experimentation and quality products.“

Franklin & Sons also hinted at further developments to come across August as well, urging retailers to keep an eye out for the NPD coming out.

Edwards said: “Leveraging the best-selling consumer flavours in the category, the three new SKUs are designed as a sustainable solution, perfectly timed for grab-and-go occasions such as BBQs, picnics in the park, or travel essentials.”
