We highlight new products that Scottish c-store retailers might want to stock
1. Wha Gwan Glidin RTD
CARIBBEAN-INSPIRED drinks brand Wha Gwan is expanding its product line-up by introducing its newest limited-edition RTD offering, Glidin.
Glidin is an infused wine offer from Wha Gwan that combines the brand’s melon cherry rum tonic with sparkling Glera wine.
The Glera grape is exclusive to Italy and is also the main ingredient used when making prosecco.
The NPD from the firm comes packaged in a 330ml bottle, typically more associated with beer and cider options, which Wha Gwan claims is a “unique direction for the wine product”. Wha Gwan Glidin comes bottled at an ABV of 8% with an RRP of £2.99 each.
2. Biona organic food products
ORGANIC foods brand Biona has announced the arrival of six new products in the cooking ingredients and natural sweeteners categories.
First off, Biona has brought a new range of organic cooking pastes to market, namely 130g jars of Garlic Paste, Ginger Paste and a combined Garlic & Ginger Paste. The trio of cooking ingredients come with an RRP of £3.19 each.
On the sweeter side of things, Biona has introduced three natural maple syrups to its range as well, consisting of 330ml bottles of Amber Syrup and Dark Syrup with a larger one-litre format for the Amber variant.
The 330ml bottles come with RRPs of £6.79 each, with the larger format coming in at £23.29.
3. Jammie Dodgers Apple & Blackcurrant Minis
FOX’S Burton’s Companies (FBC) has launched a new bite-sized option in its Jammie Dodgers Minis range with Apple & Blackcurrant Minis.
Aiming to jump on the demand for more portion controlled snack options for both kids and adults alike, the new Jammie Dodgers Minis come in a 140g bag for £1.20 MRSP.
Each bag contains six individual 20g packs of Jammie Dodgers Apple & Blackcurrant Minis.
FBC reckons the launch will help to introduce the Jammie Dodgers brand to even more consumers through the latest Minis flavour as the new format opens the variant to a wider range of occasions.
This follows on from the launch of the 140g Jammie Dodgers Apple & Blackcurrant packs in May 2023, which NIQ data found helped to recruit 277,000 incremental shoppers to the FBC brand.
4. Funkin Cocktails Blue Raspberry Martini Nitro Can
READY-TO-DRINK cocktails brand Funkin Cocktails is out to meet the Gen Z flavour demand with its Blue Raspberry Martini can.
Aiming to make a splash with the demographic, the new Blue Raspberry Martini Nitro Can is available across retail in a £2.19 PMP format with an ABV of 5% per can.
The latest innovation from the brand aims to leverage the success of Funkin’s Nitro cans with the Gen Z demographic via the surging appeal of the blue raspberry flavour in the age group.
