Activity is good for compact

EASING Covid restrictions should play into the hands of compact vaping devices, according to China’s largest e-cigarette maker RELX.

Micaela Sangiovanni, senior trade marketing manager at RELX International, said that vaping consumers spending more time on-the-go will seek out devices that fit with the return to busy lifestyles.

She said: “As coronavirus restrictions continue to ease and people become increasingly active, we anticipate consumers will look for discreet, ultra-compact devices which are easy to store in their pocket or handbag.

“Additionally, RELX International’s simplistic, sophisticated brand identity, fits the growing appetite for a mature, adult-inspired product.

“Thanks to their discreet nature and travel-sized design, data shows that closed-system vapes are gaining traction at the expense of their open-system counterparts.

“With an estimated CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 17.70%, the growth is significantly faster than the open system’s 2.60% CAGR (Euromonitor International, 2020).”

According to Sangiovanni, RELX has just the solution for vape shoppers seeking a convenient vape solution.

“Our top performing device is the discreetly designed, entry level, closed pod system, RELX Essential (£9.99).

“It provides an unparalleled inhalation experience with our SuperSmoothTM technology. Since the launch of RELX Essential in 2020, we have seen continued growth of 125% when comparing with the same period last year.”
