TWO big hitting brands from the frozen food aisle have teamed up to make the most of growing demand for vegetarian options with the launch of a new pizza range.
Frozen pizza brand Dr Oetker Ristorante is the latest firm to offer veggie-friendly options after teaming up with meat substitute brand Quorn to launch two new pizzas.
Ristorante Pizza Pesto is a thin and crispy pizza topped with Quorn Vegetarian Chicken, red onion, peppers and a pesto garnish sauce, while Ristorante Pizza Royale has Quorn Vegetarian Bacon and mushrooms on top of a garlic sauce.
With a 20% year on year increase in spend within the gluten free and vegetarian sector, the new partnership is targeted at the 2.1m meat-free buyers who don’t currently purchase frozen pizza.
