IN a bid to bring the brand to new markets, C&C Group has released Magners Dark Fruit in a new specially designed glass bottle.
Featuring a standout purple label, the bottles will be distributed across Scotland by Tennent Caledonian Breweries.
Magners Dark Fruit was first released by C&C in April last year to capitalise on the growing popularity of Dark Fruit varieties, and has a flavour profile of berries and blackcurrants at 4% ABV.
The new bottle is the latest addition to the Magners premium glass bottle range, which includes original apple, pear and orchard berries.
Janette Murray, group marketing manager for Irish cider at C&C said: “After the fantastic reception to Magners Dark Fruit through the UK in the on and off trade, it made perfect sense to add the product to our bottle collection.
“The over-ice serve from a glass bottle is iconic for Magners and certainly translates well to our Dark Fruit variant, with a great tasting refreshing drink the end result.
“We’re confident in our decision to also package Dark Fruit in glass and believe drinkers will enjoy the serve.
“The response has been really positive with almost 400 cases sold in Scotland in the first week, which proves the consumer demand is there.”
The bottles are sold in 500ml serves, and available via wholesalers.
