Juiced up

breakfast juice, Del Monte, Refresco,

THERE is a growing demand for healthy breakfast drinks, according to Refresco Gerber, the company behind fruit juice brand Del Monte in the UK.
The firm has responded by extending Del Monte’s low-sugar, low-calorie Naturally Light range with the addition of a 1L orange flavour in a re-sealable carton, described as ideal for the breakfast market.
The orange juice drink is 50 calories per glass and has 50% less sugar than standard juices thanks to its use  of extract of Stevia leaf, which has natural sweetness but contains zero calories.
Del Monte Naturally Light Orange is also said to provide 100% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C and 50% of the RDA of vitamins B, and E, and Selenium.
Just Juice, Refresco’s juice brand exclusive to the convenience sector, has recently re-launched in fresh packaging with new price marks, which the firm says compete head-on with deals offered by multiples.
The price mark on the 1L packs is now £1.29, or two for £2, while 500ml is £1.
