Refresco unveils major redesign for water brand

FLAVOURED water brand MacB has a new look for the new year that owner Refresco reckons will help it to stand out further on shelf.

Calling the new look “refreshingly contemporary”, the makeover for MacB sees a greater emphasis on colour across the labels for all six of the variants of Strawberry & Kiwi, Apple & Blackcurrant, Watermelon, Lemon & Lime, Raspberry & Cranberry and Peach.

Along with the new look for the labels, Refresco has also moved the entire MacB range from coloured plastic caps to a clear cap for both its 500ml and 1.5l formats, with the caps tethered to the 500ml bottles.

To ensure the brand stays at the forefront of consumers’ minds, Refresco has announced the makeover will also receive a raft of marketing support over the summer.

This will include advertisements running on the video platform YouTube along with a presence across radio, influencer marketing, competitions and social activity.

The campaign is set to run across the summer months and aims to cover the back-to-school period as well.

A MacB spokesperson said: “With the warmer weather just around the corner, demand for bottled water is set to increase as people head out to enjoy the sunshine.

“And with consumers increasingly inclined to seek out the healthy and the sustainable option, sugar-free MacB in its more recyclable packaging ticks all the boxes.”
