Showcase of artisan Scottish goods for retailers

ARTISAN food and drink event Speciality Food & Drink Show is set to return this coming January at the SEC Glasgow to highlight some hidden gems of Scotland’s larder.
Set to take place over 24-26 January 2027, those retailers who are seeking to discover some of the country’s latest artisan food and drink brands across a broad range of categories including cheese, gin, chocolate and ice cream to name a few.
The show will see artisanal brands from across Scotland gather at the SEC Glasgow to showcase the latest developments from the range and highlight some lesser-known brands directly with key retailers.
In addition to finding out more about the products on offer, store owners will also have the chance to talk directly with a host of the producers to find out more about the behind-the-scenes of their ranges. This includes their personal stories about why they have chosen to deliver the brand as well as to offer a deeper understanding of the development process to offer a more compelling proposition for customers.
Additionally, it will enable many retailers to establish some valuable customer/supplier relationships with businesses across Scotland and allow these firms to better understand the needs of independent retailers.
Mark Saunders, show director, said: “If you want to stay ahead in retail and offer your customers genuinely innovative products, it’s vital that retailers get out and visit trade shows. In an increasingly digital world, there are still very few better ways to discover new products, meet suppliers and find the products that will give your retail or catering outlet a genuine point of difference.”
