Bringing coffee and cake together in one bottle

COFFEE brand Costa Coffee is set to bring extra flavour to the summer months with the launch of its new ready-to-drink (RTD) FrappĂ© McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes flavour.
Inspired by the iconic McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, the new Costa Coffee RTD FrappĂ© offers shoppers a blend of Costa’s signature coffee brew with a zesty orange and indulgent chocolate flavours to create a refreshing and indulgent iced coffee RTD.
Russell Smith, marketing manager for McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, said: “Jaffa Cakes are famous for that unmistakable mix of chocolate and zesty orange, and this collaboration brings that iconic taste in a whole new way. Partnering with Costa Coffee has been the perfect way to put a fresh twist on a classic and offer something new for fans to enjoy on the go.”
The NPD comes in a 250ml bottle as iced coffee variants continue to rise in popularity across the UK, says parent firm Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP).
Whilst the new variant is available in Costa Coffee locations now, there is a planned roll out for the new variant to major retailers over the summer months.
Costa Coffee FrappĂ© McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes is available for a limited time only as well, set to end its run in September this year, as CCEP believes this will tap into the demand for limited edition variants and encourage trial with shoppers before it leaves the shelves.
Furthermore, the drinks giant believes that the collaboration between two well-known British brands will offer something fresh for the RTD coffee sector and excite the brands’ loyal customers.
